We can source panels from a range of suppliers and are happy to discuss your own preferences. The most important thing is to understand what affects the performance of your panels. The size and type of roof, the geographic orientation and shading. If one panel is not working because of shade all the others may be affected - understand what affects your installation - lets us walk you through your potential installation using appropriate tools like Suncalc.
Electric Car (EV) Chargers
Your choice of EV charger will depend on a number of factors:- location/visibility of the charger, power requirement and budget.
The most aesthetically pleasing chargers are Andersen or Simpson & Partners - we recommended suppliers and installers for both.​
Clients with solar using myenergi battery storage are advised to install the Zappi as they integrate seamlessly.

If you own a Tesla the Wall Connector is the obvious solution. ​There are several other capable chargers such as Podpoint and Evios for which we are approved installers.
Battery Storage
Choosing the correct battery storage system is very important. The capacity required will depend on the amount of power you consume, when your peak power usage occurs and the total power that your solar panels are capable of generating.

If you have the ability to charge your solar battery at cheap rate overnight you can sell the power generated by your panels back to the grid at a profit during the summer months.

In early 2025 Solarwatt released their range of Inverters, Batteries and EV chargers. These were all co-developed with iBMW.​ The battery system is modular, enabling you to select the exact size battery you need.
This is our preferred range in conjunction with the Solarwatt panels.

If you drive a Tesla and have the Wall connector then the Tesla Powerwall would be a good option as you can then manage your solar storage, car charging and solar battery from a single App. We are a certified installer of the Powerwall.

The well established UK company, myenergi, produce the Libbi inverter and battery, the zappi car charger all controlled from a single app.

Solar maintenence
Solar panels and inverters will last for many years and require minimal maintenance. As a general rule panels are self cleaning but depending on location cleaning may be needed more frequently.
​
However, they should be inspected regularly to ensure safety and efficiency. If your inverter fails you could be deriving no benefit from them. If they are dirty the power they produce will be reduced. If connections become corroded system failure or fires could result. ​​
